Card skimming devices discovered on Denny cash machines
Police are warning locals to be on their guard after fraudulent devices were found on cash machines in Denny.
ATMs in Denny were targeted, as well as machines in Tullibody and Bo’ness
A Central Scotland Police spokeswoman said: “Customers using cash machines should look for anything suspicious or out of place.
“The skimming machines can take many forms including devices applied directly to the machine over the card slot to read the card and using cameras to capture PIN numbers as customers type them in.
“Always take care when entering your PIN and be aware of people loitering in the area of cash dispensers and report anything untoward.
“Anyone who notices anything suspicious at any cash dispenser should contact the bank or building society who manage that machine.”
Anyone with information can contact Central Scotland Police on 01786 456000 or information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
