Denny Lotto winner on benefits convicted of drink-driving
Denny National Lottery winner, Robert Moffat, has been convicted of drink driving after crashing his dad’s Jaguar whilst more than five-times over the limit, according to the Scottish Daily Express.
Moffat's family won £3.2m in 1996 and he scooped an £800,000 share of the winnings.
However, appearing a Falkirk Crown Court charged with drink-driving recently, it was revealed that the 51-year-old had spent it all and is now living on benefits, said the Express.
The former barman admitted to drink-driving, but his pleas of not guilty to two further charges – failing to tell police who was the driver and failing to co-operate with a preliminary breath test – were accepted by the Crown.
