Faster broadband services coming to Denny with exchange upgrade
25 OctoberFaster broadband is coming to Denny, with the announcement that the town’s exchange is to be upgraded, more than doubling available speeds it was announced by BT this week.
Our local exchange will be part of another 67,500 homes and businesses in 14 Scottish communities now having access to faster broadband, BT announced.
They are the latest places to benefit from the roll-out of BT’s pioneering next generation broadband service delivered over copper lines. A complete list of the upgraded exchange areas can be found at the end of this release.
The BT investment makes available broadband speeds of up to 20 megabits per second (Mbps) – more than double the maximum speeds previously available to the majority of UK homes and businesses.
It is now available in more than 130 Scottish exchange areas and another 32 are earmarked for upgrades in the coming months. The new service is available on an open, wholesale basis to all companies providing broadband.
