Police appeal for missing woman seen walking towards Denny centre

  • Out of character: Lisa’s family are growing increasingly concerned for her

Have you seen this woman? Police are seeking the public’s help in tracing her.

Lisa Heesom, 38 was last seen leaving her home in Dunipace around 4pm on Tuesday, January 10 and walking towards Denny town centre.

Inspector Mandy Paterson said: “We and Lisa’s family are growing increasingly concerned for her as this is out of character for Lisa.

“We are keen to hear from anybody who may have seen her.”

Lisa is described as 5'4" tall, slim build with blonde hair and is thought to be wearing a long red coat and a cream coloured Tammy-style hat.

Inspector Paterson said: “Strathclyde Police are assisting us with our inquiries as we know Lisa was in Buchanan Street Bus Station earlier today (Wednesday, January 11) around lunchtime and we appeal for anyone who may have seen her to come forward.”

Good news. Police have released the following statement:

"Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance after a woman missing from the Dunipace area since January 10, 2012 was traced.

"Lisa Heesom (38) was found safe and well in Edinburgh yesterday (January 12) evening."

We are relieved here at s1denny for Lisa's safe return and hope she is ok.
